Sunroom Addition, Kitchen, and Dining Remodel

We began the project by converting an existing covered porch into a beautiful sunroom addition. Before highlighting the sunroom details, we want to introduce the kitchen and dining room remodel, which included removing a wall to create an inviting, open-concept layout. In the kitchen, we refreshed the existing maple cabinets with new paint and installed a porcelain subway tile backsplash, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and fixtures, modern lighting, and luxury vinyl plank flooring.

At Geer Inc., we always prioritize structural integrity. Because this addition placed additional weight on the existing structure, we consulted a structural engineer, who recommended installing a steel support post beneath the beam to ensure stability and prevent sagging.

The new sunroom is fully insulated with solid-core foam, heated and cooled for year-round comfort, and equipped with high-end, energy-efficient windows and a stylish stackable sliding door. We completed the space with updated lighting, new electrical receptacles, and luxury vinyl plank flooring. This addition not only increased the home's heated and cooled square footage but also created a comfortable, relaxing space to enjoy stunning lake views all year long.

Next, we transformed the master bathroom by utilizing additional space from an existing closet to create a larger, more comfortable shower area. The bathroom remodel included installing a brand-new shower with updated plumbing fixtures, a new toilet, upgraded lighting with an integrated exhaust fan, luxury vinyl plank flooring, and a sun tube for natural lighting.

This renovation significantly improved both the functionality and comfort of the master bathroom, creating a spacious and welcoming environment.

Next, we moved downstairs to complete a partial basement remodel. This involved installing new lighting, drywall, tile flooring, and doors, as well as freshly painting the entire space.

In the downstairs bedroom, we framed and installed two new windows, added a new ceiling fan, repaired existing drywall, and painted the room for a fresh, updated appearance. To ensure the basement remains dry and comfortable, we sealed the floors and block walls, and installed a whole-home dehumidifier to control moisture levels.

We concluded the project by framing an opening and installing a new door, constructing new stairs complete with a stylish wrought iron railing, and adding new lighting for both safety and visual appeal.
